In terms of specifications, an earlier report from 52audio noted that the new AirPods 3 will continue to use the Apple H1 chip that the second-generation AirPods currently have. Its battery life is expected to be on par with the current AirPods 2, which means you can use it for a period of 5 hours, and if you include the included charging case, this number will be 24 hours.
Additionally, some rumors suggest that the AirPods 3 will feature a more compact system-in-package (SiP) system, similar to the SiP used in AirPods Pro. This will allow more audio features to be packed into a more compact design like the AirPods Pro.
